Magic Penny Productions

Magic Penny Productions was founded by Petra Schofield. It’s aim is to create and devise community events to celebrate key dates through performance and multimedia. Following the huge success of the centenary celebrations for Peasedown St John School in June 2013. Workshops are now available for 2014, based in the centenary of the start of World War 1. Magic Penny is always able to created bespoke workshops or school productions for your specific topic / celebration. Or simply to support the English / drama curriculum across the key stages.

June 2013: The Magic Penny – was a musical created solely for the centenary of Peasedown St John Primary School – workshops were provided across the whole school and a separate drama group of pupils and the school choir performed bespoke production at The Prospect Theatre.
Alongside this the research spanned ongoing interviews with elderly residents and past pupils to enable them to become part of the celebrations beyond the school gates. The exhibition of research was shown at Fringe Arts Bath festival in 2013 and also as part of the centenary display in Peasedown.
